Training Partner was a journey all in itself. At 14 I didn't have a clue as how to train, plus with him training consisted of some serious reverse psychology, convincing him that it was his idea to turn a barrel, chase a cow, jump a course! I have to thank him for his patience in me and being as forgiving as he is.
Partners great achievement (as well as mine) was going to the NBHA World Show 3 years in a row!

Every time he entered the arena he was looking for a barrel. He's calmed down a lot since his first show that he practically did on his back legs. Even though Snidely has his quirks, I wouldn't trade him for all the money in the world, and will be a forever member of the family!
Chic came to us in 2007 as a coming 3 year old who has the worst attitude in the world. She thought she was queen and when she was unable to get her way we had lots of tantrums that consisted of lots of rearing, striking out, and kicking. After roughly thirty days riding and LOTS of ground work we kicked her back "out" and let her grow up some more. She turned 4 this year, so we brought her back into training and she has grown by leaps and bounds. She is a promising young barrel horse, but shows some serious potential for the hunter ring.
Who would have thought that the "rank" filly dubbed Lunachic AKA Chic would someday be carrying two 10-year old little girls on day long trail rides bareback, with only a halter and lead rope on.
Chic has progressed so much in her training that in the summer of 2010 Chic will be hauling to local schooling shows to compete and going to rodeos to be an exhibitioner.
